Coral Springs Public Works achieves National Accreditation

Striving to become an outstanding provider of services to the Coral Springs community, the Public Works Department has achieved national accreditation. Awarded by the American Public Works Association (APWA), the accreditation examiners reviewed 347 policies, procedures and practices to determine if the Department met the high standards for Accreditation. The Keep Coral Springs Beautiful litter collection program was also named a “Model Practice.”

The City of Coral Springs was awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA) for its comprehensive annual financial report (CAFR). The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting, and its attainment represents a significant accomplishment by a government and its management. This is the 37th consecutive year that the City of Coral Springs has received this distinction.
33065 and 33071 will now reflect Coral Springs

The zip codes 33065 and 33071 will now default to Coral Springs instead of Pompano Beach. Previously, there were 12 zip codes that defaulted to Pompano Beach, including four that were partially or entirely within Coral Springs city boundaries.
Wall Street Awards Coral Springs Highest Credit Ratings

Wall Street has again affirmed Coral Springs’ AAA General Obligation Bond credit rating. Both Fitch Ratings and Standard & Poor's (S&P) have given the AAA rating with a stable outlook to the City's General Obligation Bonds. The AAA rating is the highest bond rating an organization can earn.
