Diana M. Scarpetta joined the City of Coral Springs in May 2019. Her education includes three years of law course work towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Law, in Colombia; a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration from Florida International University where she graduated with honors; a Master’s Degree in Management from the School of Business from St. Thomas University; a Graduate Certificate in Community Development from Florida International University; and she is a certified Professional in Redevelopment by the Florida Redevelopment Association.
As the Economic Development Coordinator, Diana is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating and implementing programs that support the mission of the Economic Development Office in strengthening the City’s economy and the redevelopment of the Coral Springs Downtown area.
Diana is passionate about economic development and appreciates being part of a healthy, stable and forward-thinking community. Her extensive experience in government emphasizes on economic development and CRA’s. Before joining the City of Coral Springs, Diana worked for the City of North Miami Beach, where she started as a college intern; then worked for the Town of Miami Lakes, the City of Hallandale Beach, and the City of Margate.
