Kristi Bartlett
Kristi Bartlett joined the City of Coral Springs in November 2018. A graduate of the University of Central Florida (UCF), Bartlett earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science. With an expansive career in Economic Development, Bartlett had her first exposure to the industry while working at UCF within a division responsible for bringing the Sanford Burnham Medical Research Institute to Orlando.
During her time with UCF, Bartlett found it fascinating to see different partners work together, both public and private sectors – all focused on the benefits to the community. That positive experience changed Bartlett’s career trajectory, which led her to work in high-level, Economic Development positions within Collier County for 11 years. These include the Economic Development Council, Board of County Commissioners and The Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce. In her most recent position at the chamber, Bartlett served as Vice President, where she wrote and successfully obtained a $3.09 million grant to expand the machining program at a local technical college. In addition to leading the chamber’s public-policy program, Bartlett was responsible for planning and implementing the yearly program for Opportunity Naples.
In her new role as Director of Economic Development for the City of Coral Springs, Bartlett is working to assemble a steering committee to better understand the needs of the business community. And is working to create and implement an economic development strategy for the City.
Since heading up the Economic Development Office, Bartlett assisted the City of Coral Springs in securing a $2.8 million grant from the Department of Economic Development Administration to make improvements to better manage storm water at the 442-acre Corporate Park business area. The project will help Coral Springs better respond to and recover from intense flooding conditions caused by severe storms, while enhancing our ability to grow target industry businesses at the Corporate Park.
Bartlett and her family relocated from the west coast of Florida to Coral Springs. Bartlett is a Certified Economic Developer and graduate of the Advanced Economic Development Leadership Program.
